"I've been kicked in the head a few times playing football, but I never considered taking some pain in the brain as a way of making a living.

This weekend, however, people who do make a living at it will be at the Telus Convention Centre for The Pain Convention.

This is the all the rage right now, with UFC overtaking professional boxing as the top pay-per-view events. Mike Miles has put together a pretty good bunch of athletes to compete on Saturday, with Trevor (TNT) Smandych taking on a pretty tough guy from Germany by the name of Steve Neumann.Also that night Jesse Miles vs. Jason St. Louis and there are a couple of fights featuring some super tough ladies. Sandra Bastion will fight Zuleyha Turan from Germany and Misty Sutherland will go toe to toe with Mexico's Itzel Cadena. Prices range from $150 for VIP tickets to ringside seats starting at $75 and general admission at $50. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the fights start at 6:30 p.m."
